Andy Carroll and Lou Teasdale have been seen enjoying a romantic getaway in Ibiza, following reports that the couple briefly split earlier this month. The footballer and the makeup artist, who have been together for over a year, appear to have rekindled their romance after a period of uncertainty.
During the holiday, Teasdale shared a series of photographs on Instagram, including a mirror selfie taken with Carroll, who stuck his tongue out for the camera. Another image showed the couple holding hands on the beach, with Teasdale wearing a neon green bikini. She captioned one post simply: "Love you."
The couple's split was widely reported after a series of public rows, with some sources suggesting Carroll had grown tired of Teasdale's "influencer lifestyle" and high-maintenance behaviour. However, other reports claimed Teasdale was the one who ended the relationship. At the time, it was noted that they had unfollowed each other on social media, and Carroll had removed traces of Teasdale from his Instagram account.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, Carroll addressed the status of their relationship and his ongoing divorce from Billi Mucklow, with whom he shares three children. He said: "I love Lou and I love her family. We row like any couple." He also mentioned that some arguments had been about alcohol, as Teasdale has been teetotal for 14 years while he enjoys a beer or wine with dinner.
The former Premier League striker said the couple are "better off together" and are "trying to work through" their difficulties. Since their reunion, they have resumed posting affectionate pictures of each other on social media, and this latest holiday appears to mark a fresh chapter in their relationship.
