Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's scandals could hit TV screens in a new film, it has been revealed. Lawyers for the former prince have reportedly been contacted by a film production company ahead of the film's release, which could be before the end of the year.
Film Depicts Scandal Clean-Up
The film, called The Janitor, shows Peaky Blinders actor Harry Kirton play a publicist who cleans up the elite's scandals from various high-profile names. One scene, as reported by The Mirror, shows episodes surrounding Andrew's downfall following scandals surrounding his past friendship with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew, who is under investigation following an arrest earlier this year on suspicion of misconduct, has always denied wrongdoing and accusations against him. The movie's producers have yet to confirm who will play Andrew.
Producers Reach Out to Andrew
Lawyers for Andrew were also reportedly contacted by the film's producers, who offered the former Duke of York a chance to share his side of the story before the final script was confirmed. This was reported by The Mail on Sunday. It has been reported that Andrew has not engaged with producers or made any comments to them.
The Mirror reports that one fictionalised scene of the film shows a reporter handing the former prince the infamous picture of himself with Virginia Giuffre, who claimed she was forced to have sex with him when she was 17. This is an allegation Andrew has always denied.
Legal Team Prepared for Backlash
A production source said the film's legal team has 'bullet-proofed every single frame' and is prepared for backlash upon the movie's release. Andrew has been contacted by the Daily Express for comment.
The news comes weeks after it was reported that Andrew, 66, has been spotted in France this summer. Rumours were swirling that he was looking for a property in the area. Andrew currently lives at Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate, where he was moved to after being evicted from Royal Lodge in Windsor following the Epstein scandals.
