Amanda Holden Reveals Diet and Exercise Secrets Behind Her Bikini Body
Amanda Holden Shares Secrets to Her Incredible Figure

Amanda Holden has shared the secrets behind her enviable bikini body, revealing she follows the principles of Elizabeth Hurley's diet and eats one good meal a day. The Britain's Got Talent judge, 55, insists there is 'no trickery' involved and that her figure is largely genetic.

Amanda's Diet: Vegetarian and One Meal a Day

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Amanda explained that she is a vegetarian and typically eats an egg white omelette with spinach and a green juice as her main meal of the day. She then eats later in the evening and believes a balanced diet is key.

“I'm a vegetarian, so I think I'm probably accidentally pretty healthy,” she said. “But I do love my food and I love my alcohol, especially an Aperol Spritz in this weather!”

No Restriction, Just Balance

Amanda does not believe in restricting herself from treats. “I applaud whatever works for anybody else, but I can't be one of those people that cuts stuff out,” she stated. “I just think life is tricky as it is, so just let yourself have what you want within good reason. A little bit of everything is good.”

Exercise Routine: Peloton Bike

The star swears by using her home exercise bike, a Peloton, once or twice a week. She says there is no complicated method behind her iconic bikini snaps, exclaiming: “I breathe in! I think as women you naturally breathe in, it's inherent.”

She added that most of her build is genetic. “My mum's pretty slim, my nan is, my sister is, so I feel like it's genetic, and I just love getting on my Peloton!”

Dealing with Trolls

While her Instagram posts are usually met with praise, Amanda does receive the occasional negative comment, but she insists it does not bother her. “I don't have any time for people who have negative comments, I just don't scroll down,” she shared.

“If I see anything bad on Instagram I sort of weigh it up. Do I want to block them? Am I amused? Is it saucy? I understand people have different ways of coping with things, but I'm of the mindset that if you're putting yourself out there, you have to take the rough with the smooth. That is very sadly our industry and you build a tougher skin from it, and I'm like, do you know what, come and say it to my face and let's see how you get on!”

She added that makeup is her “armour”.
