Amanda Holden has revealed an awkward holiday moment that occurred while she was "fully naked". Returning to her Heart Radio Breakfast Show on Wednesday, the 54-year-old told co-host JK and listeners about two events from her break, though only one was true.
One story involved a jellyfish sting and a supposed beach-side remedy where her daughter urinated on her foot in front of other holidaymakers. The second saw the Britain's Got Talent judge getting stuck behind furniture while completely naked, as her husband Chris Hughes filmed the whole thing.
Listeners vote on the true story
After listeners voted on which story they believed, Amanda revealed it was the furniture fiasco that actually happened. She explained that while nude mid-way through applying moisturiser, the bottle slipped and fell behind a unit in their hotel room.
Rather than helping, her husband stayed on the bed with his phone while she wrestled with a heavy chest of drawers, climbing over it to squeeze into the gap behind it.
The struggle behind the chest of drawers
"I was heaving and heaving this chest of drawers and I had to get behind the chest of drawers, literally by straddling it and climbing over it, I was fully naked," she recalled.
Amanda said she managed to retrieve the moisturiser but then couldn't get back out easily, eventually having to reverse her way out with her backside coming out first. She then discovered that Chris had captured the entire episode on video. She later joked that she might post it online if she can work out how to keep herself covered.
Summer break insights
Amanda gave fans an insight into her summer break on Instagram. At the start of her holidays, she jokingly warned her 3.1 million followers to be prepared for the "annual onslaught of bikini shots". She also shared family photos with Chris and their daughters, Lexi and Hollie, and wrote that she was enjoying some downtime before friends arrived and "the partying begins".
Recently giving an insight into her daily routine, the presenter said she usually kicks off her early mornings with a green juice alongside "stacks of water". She also revealed that she takes Revive Collagen Enhanced Pulse every morning and keeps sachets in her bag to take on the go, according to Good Housekeeping Magazine.
However, healthy habits can go out of the window during the holidays. "In the summer I will definitely have an Aperol Spritz every day, and I actually think it helps me to relax," she added. As she is "so active all the time", she said it helps her to "wind down".
