Amanda Bynes Enjoys Leisurely Los Angeles Outing with Boyfriend Zachary Khan
Amanda Bynes, the celebrated Nickelodeon star, was observed spending a relaxed Sunday in Los Angeles alongside her boyfriend, Zachary Khan. The 39-year-old actress, who has recently undergone a significant transformation, was seen visiting Lady M Cake Boutique and attending to her vehicle at a car wash.
Casual Yet Stylish Appearance Conceals Weight Loss
During their outing, Khan indulged in a substantial burrito while Bynes sat opposite him, holding a vape with a snack and beverage positioned between them. Bynes, who has shed an impressive 28 pounds after beginning treatment with the weight-loss medication Ozempic, opted for an outfit that subtly masked her recent physical changes.
Her blonde hair was neatly slicked back, and she wore a flowing graphic print T-shirt paired with loose-fitting trousers adorned with star patterns. This ensemble provided a comfortable yet fashionable look for the low-key day out.
Expert Analysis on Bynes' Weight Loss Journey
Functional nutritionist Monica Partier previously commented to the Daily Mail on Bynes' noticeable weight reduction, noting that the actress appears to be losing weight consistently each week, making her overall progress particularly striking.
"She appears about five pounds thinner than she did last month, which means her weight loss drugs are really working for her," Partier explained. "I would estimate her overall annual weight loss at 35lb and guess she is now a size 4."
Partier emphasized that not all weight loss medications are equally effective, as their success depends on the specific drug and individual response. "Clearly, the drugs Amanda is using are a good fit. She also looks healthy with glowing skin, which suggests she is eating right. And because there is no extra skin on her arms or around her neck, she is likely working out often to tighten up as she loses weight," she added.
Strategies for Maintaining Weight Loss Post-Medication
The nutritionist provided insights into how Bynes could sustain her weight loss even after discontinuing the medication. "As long as she is eating high-protein, vegetable-loaded meals with little processed foods, little dairy and hardly any sugar, she should be able to stay slender once she quits the medication," Partier advised.
She highlighted the importance of diligence in maintaining a healthy diet, recommending the avoidance of fried foods and sugary treats. "If you really want to keep your weight low, you have to stick to whole foods that are full of nutrients. But there are always good fats that can be consumed, like nuts and avocados," Partier noted.
Bynes' Career and Personal Challenges
Amanda Bynes rose to prominence in the early 2000s through her comedic role on the WB sitcom What I Like About You and appearances in popular teen films such as Hairspray, Big Fat Liar, and Easy A.
In March 2024, Bynes disclosed on Instagram that she had gained over 20 pounds due to depression. "I'm doing a lot better now and have learned to do opposite action when I don't feel like working out or eating clean. I weigh 162lb. right now and want to get back to 110lb," she shared.
Last year, Bynes announced her decision to launch an OnlyFans account, clarifying her intentions for the platform. "Disclaimer: I'm doing OnlyFans to chat with my fans through DMs. I won't be posting any sleazy content," she stated, referring to the paid subscription service often associated with adult content but also used by various creators.
This recent sighting in Los Angeles underscores Bynes' ongoing journey toward health and wellness, blending personal milestones with her enduring presence in the public eye.
