The Yorkshire Forager Alysia Vasey, known for appearances on James Martin's Saturday Morning and Countryfile, has revealed her marriage is over after tying the knot just last year.
Vasey married near the start of 2025, but said in an emotional video that her marriage has been over since before Christmas 2025, and she wanted to come clean to her followers.
Emotional announcement
“So this is a hard one,” she said in the video. “So I feel like coming clean because there’s no point wearing a wedding ring when your marriage is over. And it has been since before Christmas. I know I haven’t been married long.”
She opened up about how she had been coping since the split: “Absolute struggle these last eight, nine months. I didn’t expect it. I feel a bit embarrassed by it all, but it is what it is. So I’m on my own and I didn’t expect that.”
“Anyway, I feel like I’ve come clean now, so it is what it is, isn’t it? Anyway, goodnight. I hope you’re all well.”

The post was captioned: “This is a tough one, my marriage has been over since before Christmas. I have lived unimaginably hard times, that I have put a brave face on. It's been very tough for me the last 4 years, I've managed to break free, but lost just about everything. I'm still coming to terms with everything and hopefully one day will find the peace and love that I deserve x”
Fans immediately rushed to support the star, urging her to stay positive and strong. “So sorry to hear this, sending you lots of love and hugs. Take one day at a time. Keep strong xx” commented one follower. “You are very talented and be strong you will find your feet again and nothing to be ashamed about whatsoever,” added another.
Replying to fans in her comment section she wrote: “I am reading all these messages, the support and kindness you are all showing is overwhelming.. but in a good way. thank you, all of you xxx”
Recent wedding announcement
The news comes just a year and a half after Vasey announced on January 9 that she had recently tied the knot: “Announcement: I am hugely excited to say, having got married recently, I have taken my husbands name and will be known as Alysia Greenwood. (Great foraging name)”
On Saturday Kitchen in February 2025, she spoke about the name change with host James quipping at the time: “I am not going to get the hang of this. I have been calling you Alysia Vasey for years now.” Alysia then added: “Better foraging name, Greenwood!”
