Alison Hammond has celebrated her 51st birthday with a heartfelt tribute from her partner David Putman, with the couple appearing as devoted as ever. The This Morning presenter, who turned 51 on Thursday, received a public declaration of love from the 30-year-old model on Instagram Stories.
David, who worked as a masseur when he first met Alison in 2023, shared a photo of the pair embracing, writing: "Happy Birthday to my love" and tagging her account. In the image, Alison beams at the camera while David, wearing a flat cap and glasses, looks on.
The couple have faced scrutiny over their 21-year age gap, but Alison has previously dismissed the commentary. Speaking to Good Housekeeping, she said: "I can see how, on paper, you’d notice the age difference. Yes, I’m 22 years older than he is, but if you saw us together, you’d understand."
Speculation about a possible engagement has also followed the pair, particularly after Alison wore a pink diamond ring on her left ring finger while hosting This Morning. She laughed off the rumours on air, saying: "Oh my god, apparently I am engaged?! Oh, I have put this on the wrong finger.... Let me swap it over to stop these rumours." However, she later hinted she would be open to marriage, adding: "I wouldn’t say no. I might marry myself…"
Her This Morning colleague Dermot O'Leary also marked her birthday, posting a photo of the two on Instagram and writing: "Happiest of Birthdays to the funniest, most kind, wise, loyal partner and friend to have on my dance card. Big love Ali x." Alison responded: "Thanks partner... love this" with a red heart emoji.
Alison has never been married. She previously dated Noureddine Boufaied, a cab driver from Manchester, from 2005 to 2014, and the couple share a son, Aiden. She told Gyles Brandreth on his podcast: "A lot of people think I’ve been married… I’ve never been married."
