The dark Disney+ comedy series Alice and Steve has certainly set tongues wagging since its arrival, reports the Mirror. Created by Sophie Goodhart, writer of Sex Education and Rivals, the show centres on Alice (played by Nicola Walker), whose 30-year friendship with best pal Steve (Jemaine Clement) is thrown into turmoil after he begins a relationship with her 26-year-old daughter Izzy (Yali Topol Margalith).
The gloves come off as Alice sets about trying to derail the May-December romance, only to find herself caught off guard when Steve decides to retaliate. The explosive fallout between the three draws friends and family into the chaos as tensions between the former best friends reach a bizarre and dramatic peak.

Alice - Nicola Walker
Beloved British actress Nicola Walker takes on the role of the desperate mother Alice, who is utterly determined to bring Izzy's relationship to an end — even if it means losing both her daughter and closest friend in one devastating blow. Walker is perhaps best recognised for her starring roles in ITV's acclaimed crime drama Unforgotten, BBC's lawyer series The Split, Last Tango in Halifax, Annika and River, alongside numerous other notable performances.
Steve - Jemaine Clement
New Zealand comedian, musician and filmmaker Jemaine Clement steps into the shoes of Steve. The well-known star has built an impressive screen career as one half of the musical comedy duo Flight of the Conchords and through his appearances in What We Do in the Shadows and Eagle vs Shark, amongst other projects.
Izzy - Yali Topol Margalith
Rising star Yali Topol Margalith takes on the role of Alice's daughter Izzy, with the actress having previously featured in Prime Video's Biblical epic House of David and A Good Girl's Guide to Murder.
Daniel - Joel Fry
Joel Fry portrays Alice's music teacher husband Daniel, who finds himself caught up in the turbulent conflict between his wife and Steve. Actor and musician Fry is perhaps best recognised for his performances in W1A, Our Flag Means Death, Game of Thrones and Plebs.
Dom - Tyrese Eaton-Dyce

Rome - Eilidh Fisher
Scottish actress Eilidh Fisher takes on the role of Rome, Dom's schoolfriend and romantic interest. Fisher's previous work includes Call the Midwife, The English Game on Netflix, Dope Girls and The Power.
Marni - Lydia Wilson
Lydia Wilson stars as the eccentric Marni, Daniel's work colleague. Wilson has previously appeared in Never Let Me Go, Ripper Street, Flack, The Swarm, Funny Women and Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue.
Zuli - Ebony Aboagye
