Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon has announced the birth of her first child, a daughter named Azura Sienna. The singer revealed the news via Twitter on her 35th birthday, writing that the baby was born last week and that she was 'elated and over-the-moon'.
Dixon, who has been a judge on the ITV talent show since 2012, disclosed that she had kept the pregnancy secret for several months. She was six months pregnant during the Britain's Got Talent final, which aired in early June.
The child is the first for Dixon and her partner, dancer Azuka Ononye. The couple met while working together on her solo career after she left the girl band Mis-Teeq. They confirmed they were expecting in June.
Dixon was previously married to So Solid Crew star MC Harvey, but the couple separated in 2005. She rose to further fame after winning the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing in 2007 and later joined its judging panel in 2009, replacing Arlene Phillips.
Despite the new arrival, Dixon has confirmed she will return to Britain's Got Talent for its next series in 2014.
