I'm A Celebrity star Aitch reportedly ended his relationship with girlfriend Lois Cottam just weeks before flying to Australia for the ITV show. The Mancunian rapper had been dating the psychology student from Cheshire since May, with sources saying the romance had recently fizzled out.
A source told The Sun that the pair "still have a lot of love for each other" but decided they are "better off as friends". They added: "They enjoyed the time they spent together. Things ended amicably between them. There's no bad blood and she hopes he does well in the jungle." The couple had previously travelled to New York and Santorini together.
The news comes after Aitch sparked romance rumours with campmate Shona McGarty. During a conversation with friend and YouTuber Angry Ginge, the rapper said: "I've got a bit of a soft spot for Shona, me." When Ginge replied, "I think she's really nice, if that's what you mean, yeah?" Aitch candidly responded: "Yeah, that's what I mean..."
Hosts Ant and Dec appeared excited by the prospect of a show romance. Dec commented: "This came completely out of the blue this morning." Ant added: "It's been a while since we've had a proper one on this show. We'd love to see it....we would celebrate it." The presenting duo confirmed that both Aitch and Shona are currently single.
Meanwhile, Shona's mother Jennifer has spoken about her daughter's personality, saying she is "a slow burner" and "basically quite shy until you get to know her". She added that "fame isn't important to Shona" and that the EastEnders actress has "never been a celebrity personality".
