Aitch takes on Mount Kilimanjaro in the new Netflix documentary Aitch: Don’t Be Afraid, climbing in support of the Down's Syndrome Association. The 26-year-old rapper's trek was inspired by his sister Gracie, who has Down's Syndrome.
The documentary's synopsis reads: “Inspired by his sister, rapper Aitch scales Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for people with Down syndrome and to fight for greater inclusivity.” Viewers have been moved, with one writing on social media: “Absolutely smashed it. I cried multiple times. Well done to Aitch and everyone who took part.”
Who is Aitch and where is he from?
Born Harrison James Armstrong in New Moston, Manchester on December 9, 1999, Aitch is a lifelong Manchester United fan who grew up playing sports. He first went viral in 2015 with a YouTube freestyle, releasing his debut EP On Your Marks in 2017 before breaking through with Straight Rhymez.
In August 2022, he released My G, a song about his sister Gracie. The following year, he won a Brit Award for Best Hip Hop/Rap/Grime Act.
Aitch also appeared on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! last year, finishing in fourth place.
Does Aitch have a girlfriend?
Reports say Aitch is currently single. Last year, a source claimed he had previously been in a relationship with a psychology student from Cheshire.
In 2019, he appeared on Amelia Dimoldenberg's Chicken Shop Date, where he was asked if he believed in love at first sight. He said: “I believe in it, but it's never happened so I don't know. But I would like to think that one day I'll look at someone and fall in love.” Their easy chemistry led to speculation they were dating.
During I’m A Celebrity in 2025, fans thought there were sparks between Aitch and EastEnders star Shona McGarty, who finished third. However, the pair have said their relationship is strictly platonic.
Aitch also joked about marriage during a Kiss Radio interview, responding to fans who had made AI videos of getting married to him. “I’m married, leave me alone; I’m a married man,” he said, prompting one fan to comment: “Aitch isn’t married lol.” Aitch: Don’t Be Afraid is streaming on Netflix now.
