Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were seen enjoying a family day out in Los Angeles on Sunday, demonstrating their commitment to co-parenting their three children. The former couple attended church together in Pacific Palisades before visiting a local farmers' market with daughters Violet and Seraphina and son Samuel.
Both parents appeared in high spirits during the outing. Affleck, dressed casually in jeans and a checked shirt, carried colourful balloons and bought snacks for the children, while Garner wore a stripey skirt and black T-shirt. The family-of-five spent the weekend together, maintaining a sense of routine despite the end of their ten-year marriage.
The Hollywood power couple announced their separation on the day after their tenth wedding anniversary in June, stating they would 'go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting.' Since then, they have had several family outings, including a trip to Disney World for Affleck's 43rd birthday and a holiday in the Bahamas for the 4th of July weekend.
Garner had been filming 'Miracles from Heaven' in Atlanta while Affleck cared for the children at home, but they made a conscious effort to meet up regularly over the summer. Now back in LA for the start of the school year, Garner is staying in the family home with the children, while Affleck lives in a rented property nearby. A source told People that Garner is 'happy to get back to her usual, family routine with the kids' and is 'in good spirits.'
