Emmerdale star Adam Thomas has revealed the terrifying moment a gun was pulled to his head while he was on a bus, admitting he initially thought it was a toy weapon.
The 38-year-old actor opened up about the scare in the latest episode of his podcast, At Home With The Thomas Bros, telling siblings Scott and Ryan Thomas during a discussion about travel: “I got a gun pulled to my head on a bus.”
His brothers were met with stunned silence, with Ryan, 42, laughing in shock before asking: “Are you joking? Were you in like Grand Theft Auto or something?”
Teenage ordeal on a double decker
Adam, who won I’m A Celebrity, recalled the incident happened when he was a teenager, saying: “It was when I was … how old was I? About 15, 14. I was sat at the back of the bus on a double decker. And this group of lads got on and they basically pulled out a gun, and put it to my head.
“I thought it was a pretend gun. Then they took the revolver out and showed me all the bullets, and I just s**t myself. How did you not know that?!”
Adam shared no further insight into what happened next, or how he was able to escape the situation, with a baffled Scott, 38, swiftly changing the topic.
Brothers’ bond and past rift
The trio have let fans into their close bond over the last few months, thanks to the release of their sibling podcast which premiered last year.
However, in a recent interview, they admitted that they haven’t always been close. In fact, Love Island star Scott confessed that there was a six-month period where he didn’t speak to his older brother.
Chatting to Sam Thompson on the Staying Relevant podcast, the host questioned how long they had gone without speaking. Former Coronation Street actor Ryan didn’t miss a beat when he turned to his sibling and asked: “You can answer that one, can’t you?”

“There was one time… he was playing a charity football game. I was just meant to come down and mind Scarlett while you were playing the game.
“Bearing in mind, he had other people there, but wanted me there. I was so hungover. And I couldn’t get there. So next minute, we didn’t speak for six months.”
“You let the family down,” Ryan replied, as Scott added: “He was punishing me for going on a night out basically and being hungover. Bearing in mind, now I never drink, I don’t punish you.”
