Adam Thomas endured a turbulent time in the I'm A Celebrity jungle, marked by notable conflicts with fellow campmates David Haye and Jimmy Bullard. The Emmerdale actor and TV personality is set to reunite with them at the final this evening, where he remains one of four contenders vying for the All Stars crown.
David Haye 'Bullying' Claims
Just six days ago, David Haye made headlines for his harsh comments directed at Adam. The actor expressed feeling unwell, prompting an angry David to shout: 'Not well? What's wrong with him? He's a grown arse man,' as a shocked Harry Redknapp looked on. The situation escalated when David taunted Adam about feeling warm, saying: 'It's all the warm love everyone's been giving you. You feel all f***ing toasty.'
When Adam noted that everyone had been kind, David doubled down: 'Someone has to keep it real. I spent my whole life trying not to be in that place of fainting or losing consciousness or whatever. It feels like you're trying to get to it, so comfortably.' Adam retorted: 'No I'm fighting not to get to it, and you're not helping.'
As talk turned to trials, David continued his verbal assault, stating: 'He didn't have the mental strength not to itch an itch.' He laughed as he accused Adam of not being well, to which Adam told him to 'shut up' and fumed: 'All day every day for two days straight. Just chill. Enough is enough now. I don't get it though, why are you coming for me for two days straight?' David attempted to justify his behaviour as 'big brother caring for a little brother,' but Adam insisted: 'You're not being caring bro. Have a day off.'
The pair clashed again when David said: 'I hope you are ok, maybe you've got some issues outside that I don't know about.' Adam quickly responded: 'I've got no issues David, you're my issue right now.'
Adam's Response
The show was filmed months ago, but airing now means campmates have access to social media. Adam issued a lengthy statement over the weekend, revealing that David 'broke' him. 'He broke me in there, he pushed me to my limits, and I've told David this and he's apologised and that's that! I've moved on now, am not one to hold a grudge... We all face people and situations that try to break us, but sometimes those moments are what rebuild you stronger than ever. Be kind,' he said.
'Since coming out, I've taken time to process everything, and I'm in a much better place now. I let go of the anger, had the conversations I needed to have, and chose peace.' He later added: 'Guys, the love you have shown me fills my heart. Thank you for all your kind words but also in a world full of hate... let's just be kind people! I don't like seeing all the negative comments about David I've made peace with it, let's just move on.'
Jimmy Bullard Row
The conflict with Jimmy Bullard erupted during the Rancid Run trial, where Jimmy chose Adam as his partner. Ant and Dec explained that duos had to retrieve cogs from an abacus and hand them to partners to place on a box. The last pair to finish would be evicted. However, Jimmy told Ant and Dec: 'Boys, I don't think I have got it in me.'
As other pairs progressed, Jimmy remained at the starting point, saying: 'Sorry Ad, so sorry. I'm a celebrity get me out of here.' Adam replied: 'Are you joking me bro? Jim c'mon man.' Ant added: 'You gotta think of Adam here, in the cage. He doesn't want to go. He's enjoying himself.' But Jimmy only apologised and refused to participate, leaving everyone in shock.
Stunned Adam, realising he might be evicted, said: 'Jim don't do this bro. Come on. Is that how we are going out?' Growing angrier, he added: 'You f***ing taking the piss? I am in there getting covered in f***ing ants.' Jimmy replied: 'Calm down that is pathetic.' Adam then said: 'P***k. I have done all that for him... if you wanted to go, f***ing go. Don't take me with you. What is up with you? Tell me why? All you had to do was run through some f***ing mud and you said get me out of here.'
Jimmy insisted he was 'not feeling it' and wanted to go home. Adam retorted: 'Go home in camp then. Don't go home on my f**king watch. I am not a quitter. I don't quit. Don't do the show then bro.'
Adam's Response
After the explosive fight aired, Adam took to social media to thank only five of his campmates. 'I just want to say thank you to all these incredible women... You've supported me in ways I don't even think you fully understand, through the doubt, the unknown, and all the moments in between. I've always had a soft heart but a strong soul, and this whole experience really tested that,' he wrote on Instagram.
'For months, I didn't know how any of this would be perceived. Even though I stood by every decision I made, there was always that little voice wondering how it would be shown, how it would be edited, how people would see me. And that uncertainty wasn't easy to carry. But now, reading your messages, seeing your comments, feeling your support, it's given me something I can't even put into words. It's brought me peace. It's reminded me that staying true to myself was always enough.'
He finished: 'I was never in it to win. I just refused to let them win by breaking me... Nothing but love.'
