Adam Peaty has reportedly dealt his parents a 'cruel new blow' as the family feud continues. The Olympic swimmer's parents, Caroline and Mark Peaty, were absent from his wedding to Holly Ramsay on December 27 at Bath Abbey, after allegedly being banned from the event.
It has emerged that Peaty posted an image from the wedding on his private Instagram account, showing him and Holly posing alongside Gordon Ramsay, Tana Ramsay, and David and Victoria Beckham. A source told The Sun that a family member received the image, which was described as 'galling' because it highlighted the presence of the Ramsays and Beckhams where Caroline and Mark should have been.
The source added that the picture has been kept from Peaty's parents, saying: 'Just look at the Beckhams posing where Caroline and Mark should be. Gordon's son is there too but not Adam's.' The image was not shared on his public social media.
Gordon Ramsay previously spoke about his 'explosive' father-of-the-bride speech, describing it as 'perfect' and 'emotional'. Meanwhile, Peaty's wedding speech made headlines as he insisted he would 'always choose' his wife.
The family rift began in the lead-up to the wedding, resulting in all family members except Peaty's sister Bethany being uninvited. Bethany served as a bridesmaid. Hours before the ceremony, Peaty's aunt Louise sent a scathing text message, which he did not receive as he had blocked his family.
