Home and Away fans have been left in awe of Ada Nicodemou's timeless looks after the actress shared a nostalgic clip from her first scene as Leah Patterson-Baker. The 46-year-old made her debut on the Australian soap in March 2000 and has since become one of its longest-serving cast members.
In the throwback video, Ada reminisced about Leah's arrival in Summer Bay, where her character sought refuge after fleeing her fiancé. Fans flooded the comments with praise, with one writing: "You haven't even aged!!!!" Another remarked: "You literally look the same. Gorgeous!" while a third added: "Ain't even aged, look younger than ever."
Ada has been at the centre of some of Home and Away's most dramatic storylines over the past two decades. Recently, her character Leah and partner Justin Morgan, played by James Stewart, faced a harrowing kidnapping and near-death experience. Reflecting on the challenging scenes, Ada told New Idea: "It's been challenging. Filming this storyline has been quite draining – but it's a really important story to tell."
Despite the intense material, Ada described Home and Away as her "other family", explaining: "That's why I've stayed with the show for so many years! It's really lovely to work with Jimmy because he's so passionate about the work, which means I am too. We all support each other in the Bay – it's really lovely." Looking ahead to 2024, she teased: "It will be another big year for Leah but I think there's a lot more joy in her life this year and the fans may finally get what they have been asking for a while."
Ada also recently paid tribute to her late co-star Johnny Ruffo, who died earlier this month aged 35. Sharing a throwback snap, she called the actor a "beautiful friend" as fellow Home and Away stars branded him an "inspiration" in emotional social media posts.
