Abbey Clancy has built a career on turning heads with racy photoshoots, from striking poses in red suspenders to slipping into playful bunny ears and fishnet outfits. Now the supermodel, 40, is preparing to swap the catwalk for the charts, with a singing debut planned at her sister Elle's upcoming wedding.
Singing debut planned for sister's wedding
Abbey is planning to make her singing debut at Elle's star-studded wedding, where singer-songwriters Sam Fender and Lewis Capaldi are expected to be guests. She is hoping to fill in for Olivia Dean and sing her parts on her chart-topping collaboration with Fender.
Speaking about the plans, Abbey said: "I am hoping that I am gonna sing with Lewis Capaldi at Elle’s wedding." She added: "Well, Sam Fender is gonna be there and Lewis so I don’t know whether to do Rein Me In with Sam or Shallow with Lewis. I love that Rein Me In, it’s the perfect key for me as well."
Husband Peter Crouch suggests festive duet
Abbey, who is a huge fan of both artists, said: "He’s a fabulous singer Sam and Lewis as well. I don't know who I would go better with Lewis or Sam." Elle, a stylist to the stars, likely knows the musicians through her work.
Her husband, former footballer Peter Crouch, 45, suggested they could duet on a Christmas song, calling it "massive". Abbey pointed out that Peter "can't sing", but he insisted it's not a problem because he would rap on the festive hit. On their podcast Therapy Crouch, he said: "I could be like Stormzy or something, I can rap, like f****** hell I can seriously rap."
