Abbey Clancy shuts down Peter Crouch's golf plans with Simply Red excuse

Abbey Clancy has revealed how she once thwarted her husband Peter Crouch's golf plans by telling him they had tickets to see Simply Red in Amsterdam.

The couple discussed the issue on their podcast The Therapy Crouch after a listener asked for advice about an upcoming golf holiday. Abbey said she had discovered Peter's planned trip by "snooping" on his phone and insisted it was "not happening" because she had acquired 10 tickets to see the band.

The conversation turned to whether it was acceptable for men to go on golf trips without their partners. When Peter suggested telling a wife well in advance so she forgets, Abbey responded with a blunt "You're disgusting" and questioned why men are so desperate to get away. Peter defended the idea, saying that sometimes you just need to go and play golf.

The couple went on to discuss their separate interests, with Abbey enjoying horse riding while Peter plays golf. Peter said living separate lives for part of the week was a "totally healthy relationship", and Abbey agreed, adding: "I've never been happier."
