Abbey Clancy Opens Up About Intimate Desires on The Therapy Crouch Podcast
Model Abbey Clancy has firmly declared she is "no prude" while revealing a particularly intimate bedroom fantasy involving her husband, former footballer Peter Crouch. The candid confession unfolded during a recent episode of the couple's joint podcast, The Therapy Crouch, where they were joined by sex educator Alix Fox.
Fantasy Toys and Cultural Influences
The conversation took an unexpected turn when the hosts were presented with an array of sex toys designed for couples, ranging from conventional items to more unconventional "fantasy" products. One notable toy resembled a tentacle, prompting Alix Fox to remark that such items were once confined to niche fetish sites but are now becoming mainstream.
Fox revealed that retailer Love Honey has reported a staggering 244 per cent surge in sales of fantasy-themed toys this year alone. She attributed this dramatic increase to the influence of popular culture, specifically television series like Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings, which have normalized fantastical and monstrous themes in the public consciousness.
"I think more people, because of certain TV shows and books and erotica, are into the idea of fantasy and monsters and minotaurs," Fox explained, highlighting how entertainment media shapes modern desires.
From Fear to Fantasy: Abbey's Personal Revelation
While Abbey initially described some of the adult toys as "a bit scary," Fox countered that for many individuals, the frightening aspect is precisely what appeals, as it introduces an element of excitement and the thrill of being overpowered by something larger and stronger.
This discussion prompted Abbey to disclose her own x-rated fantasy. "I want the prince on the horse more. I'm not a prude, I'm open to all discussions," she stated, before elaborating on her specific desire to see Peter don a "sex Viking" costume to spice up their romantic life.
She expressed a wish for Peter to show more jealousy, recalling, "The only time you got jealous was when I was watching that Viking thing. There's this show, The Vikings, and they are all unreal. Vikings are a thing." Abbey praised the characters from the historical drama series, noting, "They're just cool. Even the girls are as hard as nails. But hot as anything."
Peter's Humorous Response and Relationship Backstory
In response to Abbey's fantasy, Peter Crouch humorously quipped that he would likely resemble Rodney Trotter from Only Fools and Horses more than a sultry Viking warrior, injecting a light-hearted moment into the intimate conversation.
The couple, who first met in 2006 during a night out in Liverpool while Peter was playing for England, have been married since 2011 and share four children. However, their relationship nearly began on a sour note. Abbey reminisced about their initial encounter during an appearance on Good Morning Britain, revealing that after she gave Peter her phone number, she caught him talking to another woman.
"When we first met, he begged me for my number and then I went to the loo or the bar, and when I came back, he was talking to another girl. I was like, 'How dare you?'" she recalled. Peter insisted he was "just talking" to the other woman, but Abbey demanded her number back, to which he responded, "I said, 'You can't give someone your number and then take it back'." Despite this rocky start, their relationship has flourished, now featuring open discussions about fantasies on their popular podcast.
