A new daytime clubbing event called Hay Day is set to debut in Sunderland, catering to those who love to party but prefer an early night. The event, hosted by Southpaw Company at Sheepfolds Stables, will take place on August 1 from 3pm to 7pm, featuring 90s and early 2000s club classics and dance anthems.
Event Details
The first Hay Day, described as 'Clubbing. Just earlier', will be held in Southpaw Studio, which will be transformed with large-scale visuals and state-of-the-art sound. DJ and producer Aaron Swales will provide the music, including retro feelgood favourites. The event is aimed at those over 30 who still love to dance but earlier in the day.
A fully-stocked bar will be available for attendees. Southpaw Company, known for its boundary-pushing dance shows and community programmes, hopes this debut will be the first of many such events.
Ticket Information
Artistic director Robby Graham said: “Hay Day will be full of energy and atmosphere and take away the hassle that often comes with a late night out. Whether you’re coming to dance with friends, celebrate a special occasion or simply relive the soundtrack of your youth, Hay Day will be an afternoon to remember.”
Tickets for the August 1 event cost £22.33, including a booking fee.
