Valerie Phyllis (Nee Burrowes) BUBB – Passed away peacefully but unexpectedly on 9th July 2026 at Astor Court Care Home, Cramlington, aged 94 years. Dearly loved mum to Philip and Beverley. Also a dear sister to Olga. Valerie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Service at Whitley Bay Crematorium on Thursday 30th July at 3pm. Donations for Cancer Research UK.

George William BURLISON – Peacefully at Marie Curie aged 89 on 11.6.26. Beloved husband of Anne, dad to Karen and the late Kevin. Pa to Ethan and Emily. Celebration at Rising Sun Country Park, NE12 9SS on 1.8.26, 1.30 onward.

Phyllis CHILTON – (Throckley) Formerly of Newburn. Peacefully in Denecroft Residential Home on Monday 13th July 2026 aged 94 years. Beloved wife of the late Walter. Funeral service at West Road Crematorium Chapel on Wednesday 29th July at 12 Noon. Donations for Alzheimer's Society.

Charlotte FENLEY (Nee Devlin) – Peacefully on 14th June 2026 aged 95 years. Requiem Mass at St Aidan's RC Church on Friday 24th July at 12noon, followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery at 1.15pm. Donations for Daft As A Brush.

Audrey KINNEY (née Osborne) – North Shields. Passed away on 10th July, aged 90 years. Funeral service at Tynemouth Crematorium on Thursday 30th July at 10.30am. Donations for Alzheimer's Society.

Dr Elizabeth (Nee Leithead) LAZENBY (Liz) – Died peacefully on Friday 10th July 2026 aged 82 years. Funeral at Northumberland Woodland Crematorium on Monday 27th July 2026 at 12.30pm. Donations for Dementia Research UK and Cats Protection.

George W.S.H (Mac) MACGREGOR – (Beacon Lough East) Popped his clogs on 6th July 2026. Funeral on 29th July 2026, 12pm at Saltwell Crematorium. No flowers. Wear casual clothing. Party afterwards at Greencroft Social Club.

Alan MATHERS – (Whickham) Suddenly on 9th July 2026 aged 83 years. Funeral Service at Saltwell Crematorium on Monday 27th July at 1.45pm. Family flowers only.

Frank Henry Alan (Alan) NORTON – Passed away on 30th June 2026. Service at St Mary's Church, Ovingham, on Friday 31st July 2026 at 12.45pm, followed by cremation at West Road Crematorium.

Michael PORTEOUS (Teams) – Peacefully on 11th July, aged 78 years. Service at Saltwell Crematorium on Friday 24th July at 1pm. Donations for Blood Cancer UK.

Keith RIDDELL – (Stannington) Peacefully at home on 8th July 2026, aged 87 years. Service at Northumberland Crematorium on Wednesday 29th July at 3pm. Donations for Teenage Cancer Trust.

Jim SIMPSON – Fenham. Passed away on Tuesday, 30th June, 2026 aged 95 years. Requiem Mass at St. Roberts R.C Church Fenham on Tuesday 28th July at 10am, followed by cremation at West Road Crematorium at 11.15am.

Gary TAYLOR – Passed away on 3rd July 2026 aged 57 years. Celebration at West Road Crematorium Chapel on Tuesday 28th July 2026 at 11:00am. Donations for The Air Ambulance.

Richard Fawcus THOMPSON – (Ashington) Passed away at home 8th July aged 81 years. Service at Blyth Crematorium on Monday 27th July at 1:45pm. Donations for Northumberland Greyhound Rescue.

Constance (Connie) URWIN (O'Fee) – (Janus Close, Chapel Park) Sadly passed away Sunday 12th July, aged 94. Funeral service West Road Crematorium, Friday 24th July, 12 o'clock, followed by a buffet at Jingling Gate.

Alan VINCENT – (Wrekenton) On 4th July 2026, aged 87 years. Service at Saltwell Crematorium on Monday 27th July at 12 noon. Donations for Encephalitis International.

Winifred WHITE – (North Shields) Died peacefully on Sunday 5th July aged 97 years. Service at St Joseph's Church, North Shields on Tuesday 28th July at 1pm, followed by burial at Preston Cemetery. Donations for The Stroke Association.
