Trump's Bizarre G7 Moments: Lost, Confused, Staring at Hands

Donald Trump's appearance at the G7 meeting in France has gone about as badly as most of his public appearances. For the unaware, the G7 comprises the globe's seven most influential societies and advanced economies – the UK, USA, Canada, Japan, Germany, France and Italy.

Trump Takes Centre Stage

Trump took centre stage throughout, with images and videos circulating online showing the US leader posing for a group photo on the French lawn, before Trump attempts to depart in the incorrect direction. This was the first bizarre sign that something wasn't right with the now 80-year-old.

Staring at His Hands

Other images show Trump just staring at his hands, literally doing nothing but staring at his hands which appear to be clawed like a T-Rex, but far less intimidating. Honestly, whoever took the pictures of him at this moment deserves some kind of award, but it really is a baffling moment where he is, once again, just staring at his own hands for a good few seconds.

Guided by Leaders

Another pic shows Prime Minister Keir Starmer appearing to talk to Trump as if he's an elderly relative at a care home, talking directly into his ear because he can't really hear anything he's saying at normal volume. Not to be outdone, France's President Emmanuel Macron was seen guiding Trump into a room, using that hand-behind-the-back gesture that you'd use on your grandpa who is clearly unsure of what he's doing and needs rushing along. The same move was used by Starmer after the group photo when Trump was lost – very, very lost.

Odd Gestures and Sunbathing

In a strange image of him trying to show that he's wonderful and all fine, he put a half-ish thumbs up to the camera while his jaw was moving in various directions. Another snap shows Donald Trump arriving at a cultural performance and concert, but a man showing him where to sit was clearly not happy about Trump seemingly ignoring him – with the bloke bringing out the airport staff hand gestures to guide him exactly where to go. But going back outside, Trump took a moment to ignore the goings on around him, closed his eyes and basked in the sun to top up his already very orange tan, while Keir Starmer can be seen squinting behind him.

A Lonely Figure

Lastly, and in the most saddest looking image, Trump was snapped sitting on his own, looking like your elderly relative who has been placed at the back of the table plan at your own wedding, but he can't get up to dance, eat or say hello to anyone. Despite the White House saying Trump's perfectly fine, this latest set of images shows that something is clearly going on.
