Stephen Graham and his wife, Hannah Walters, shared a night of pure celebration in Hollywood, following his major win at the Golden Globes on Sunday. The actor, 52, clinched the award for Best Male Actor for his role in the critically acclaimed Netflix drama Adolescence, and made sure to honour his partner of 17 years in his emotional acceptance speech.
A Heartfelt Tribute on the Global Stage
Addressing the glittering audience at the ceremony, which included A-listers like Leonardo DiCaprio, Graham turned his attention to his wife. "I've said it before, but you saved my life. You saved my life," he told Walters, who also stars as his on-screen spouse in the hit series. He went on to describe himself as "very, very lucky" to be married to her, before also dedicating the award to his two children, Grace and Alfie, and his parents.
Letting Loose at the Star-Studded Afterparty
Once the formalities concluded, the couple headed straight to the exclusive Golden Globes afterparty held at the swanky Spago restaurant in Beverly Hills. There, they were seen hitting the dance floor with beaming smiles, looking every bit the loved-up pair. Mum-of-two Hannah, 51, twirled in a gorgeous gold shimmery dress, her blonde hair in an elegant updo, while Stephen looked sharp in a blue shirt and black slacks as they danced among a host of other celebrities.
A Sweeping Night for 'Adolescence'
The evening marked a significant triumph for the gripping Netflix limited series. Adolescence secured an impressive four Golden Globes awards, making it one of the night's biggest television winners. Alongside Graham's win, his young co-star Owen Cooper, 16, won Best Supporting Actor, and Erin Doherty won Best Supporting Actress. The show itself triumphed in the Best Limited TV Series category.
The four-part drama, which premiered on Netflix last year to rave reviews, sees Graham and Walters playing parents grappling with the fallout after their teenage son is arrested for murder. The couple also served as co-executive producers on the project, which has clearly resonated with both critics and awards voters alike.
