The Crown star Erin Richards has announced she is expecting her second child, debuting her baby bump on the red carpet at the BAFTA Cymru Awards in Newport. The 39-year-old actress, known for playing Kelly Fisher in The Crown and Barbara Kean in Gotham, wore a flowing colourful silk gown and gently cradled her stomach as she posed for photographs at the International Convention Centre.
Richards first revealed her pregnancy in 2022 at the premiere of The Crown series five at Theatre Royal Drury Lane. She has kept her personal life largely private, though she was seen wearing a diamond ring on her left hand at the event, sparking speculation about her partner.
The BAFTA Cymru Awards also featured appearances from Strictly Come Dancing professional Amy Dowden, who attended shortly after being eliminated from the BBC One competition alongside former The Apprentice star Thomas Skinner. Dowden wore a red velvet dress and was joined by her Strictly co-star Amber Davies, who wore a black leotard and sequined skirt.
Dowden and Skinner were eliminated after facing Chris Robshaw and Nadiya Bychkova in the series' first dance-off. Reflecting on his brief stint, Skinner said: 'I've loved it. I've never danced before and my stay was short, but Amy's amazing.' Dowden added: 'I've made a new friend for life and I wouldn't change a thing.'
