Enter North East Charity Awards 2026 by June 22

People and organisations are encouraged to enter the North East Charity Awards 2026, with only a fortnight left to submit nominations. The awards recognise the brilliant work being done in the North East voluntary sector.

Deadline Approaching

Entries for this year’s awards must be submitted by 5pm on June 22. The awards celebrate the best of the region’s voluntary sector, as well as the people and organisations that support it.

12 Categories to Shine a Spotlight

There are 12 categories at the awards, which aim to highlight the incredible individuals and organisations making a real difference across the North East. Each prize recognises outstanding commitment, life-changing impact, and tireless efforts that often go unseen but are never unappreciated.

Graeme Whitfield, Journal editor, said: “Every year we are blown away by the work that charities and their supporters do to make the North East a better place. So much of that work goes unnoticed and the awards are an attempt to change that, so that these amazing people and organisations get the praise they deserve.”

He added: “It’s also a brilliant night out and brings the voluntary sector together in a way no other event can. I would encourage anyone who is thinking about submitting an entry to do so.”
