Emmerdale's Daisy Campbell splits from boyfriend, starts new career

Emmerdale actress Daisy Campbell has split from her boyfriend following her axe from the soap, it was reported tonight. Daisy played Amelia Spencer on the ITV show until she was axed from the programme after over a decade. Her boyfriend Nick supported her through her exit from the programme and also in setting up her new venture, her Pilates studios.

Reasons Behind the Split

The actress and her ex Nick met in school before reconnecting in 2024. They dated for a while but eventually split as they "grew apart", with a source claiming Daisy has "never been happier".

"Daisy split from her boyfriend Nick earlier this year. She’s been incredibly busy with her studios and they just grew apart," a source told The Sun of the pair's decision to go their separate ways.

Career Transition

"She has never been happier – she has a big group of friends, is working super hard and just doesn’t even have time for a man. Nick helped her after she was axed from Emmerdale and while setting up the studio and he was very supportive, so there is no bad blood."

Daisy previously opened up about her exit from the soap, which has now allowed her to pursue a different career.

Speaking about her Emmerdale exit, she said: "It wasn't my choice to leave Emmerdale, and it was a shock at first. Being in Emmerdale is all I have ever known. I've spent the whole of my childhood growing up in the soap, and it felt daunting."

Reflecting on the Soap Exit

"Once they explained, I totally got it. Amelia isn't part of the Dingles, her dad has left, Samson has gone now and she doesn't have any family. There is nowhere to take Amelia and I understand that. I feel incredibly lucky to have been in the soap for 13 years and to have been handed so many opportunities at such a young age."

Daisy explained how she got in "a bit of a hole" following her exit from the show and she had a "feeling" she was going.

"When it's been ripped away from you, because that's what it genuinely felt like, it was so out of the blue - you do just get into a bit of a hole of, oh god, like, can I do this? It was weird, because it was so abrupt, obviously Liam Fox, who played Dan, my dad, he left the year before (in 2023), and I just had a feeling…" she said.

"I always get gut feelings. It was at the beginning of the year, things were quiet. Obviously, we had the new producer come in. And then when it came to contracts, nothing came through, so I was like, 'oh'… and then obviously it happened."
