Next week's Emmerdale sees Charity Dingle released from prison, Gabby Thomas rushed to hospital after a collapse, and Jimmy King laid to rest as Sadie King's secret comes under threat.
Charity's release and Sarah's blackmail
Charity Dingle is shocked when she receives a visit in prison from Serena Sugden. Meanwhile, Sarah continues her blackmail plan, and DS Ramsden wants to stop her in her tracks.
Soon, Thea and Serena discuss Serena's visit to Charity, and Thea is left taking action. But there is a shock for Charity when a prison guard enters her cell and informs her she is going home.
The family greet her as she heads back to the village after her ordeal, and later she has a word with Sarah. Whether the pair will be able to heal things remains to be seen.
Gabby's collapse and orthorexia diagnosis
Elsewhere, Gabby Thomas's own ordeal is exposed after her orthorexia diagnosis. GP Manpreet Sharma is determined to help Gabby and gets doctor Liam Cavanagh involved.
As Laurel Thomas tries to find her stepdaughter Gabby after hearing Manpreet's concerns, she is unaware Gabby is having a full-blown panic attack. Laurel finds her and Gabby collapses.
Laurel calls for an ambulance, and when Gabby wakes up, she allows Manpreet to tell Laurel the full extent of her concerns, including the orthorexia diagnosis. Gabby is ready to accept she needs help. When Billy learns about his former flame's ordeal, he is apologetic for not spotting the signs.
Jimmy's funeral and Sadie's secret
Also next week, Jimmy King's funeral arrives, and Sadie King could finally be rumbled. Nicola King is broken by her late husband's apparent betrayal and his secret life with Sadie.
When Jimmy's son Carl finds a mysterious key in Jimmy's belongings from the scrapyard, it is soon confirmed to be his locker key from the golf club. Prior to this, Sadie hears that Nicola has found backed-up voicemails on Jimmy's laptop and is privately anxious about what they might reveal. Sadie tells Robert Sugden about the voicemails, and he urges her to deal with it.
As Sadie plots to get rid of them, she is forced to cover her tracks when Nicola's dad Rodney Blackstock walks in. Once the discovery about the key is made, Sadie and Robert rush to where they think Jimmy's money is stashed, in the locker room. But they have to hide when Rodney and Nicola walk in.
Later, the villagers prepare for the funeral, while Nicola finally listens to all of Jimmy's voicemails, leaving viewers to wonder what she will discover.
