Emmerdale fans spot Joe Tate and Gabby Thomas chemistry

Emmerdale fans are speculating that Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) could begin a new romance with Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) following his wedding to Dawn Fletcher (Olivia Bromley), after spotting chemistry between the pair.

Wedding Day Chaos

Joe is preparing to marry Dawn, unaware that she plans to flee with her ex-husband Billy (Jay Kontzle). The scheme stems from Caleb (Will Ash) and Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) deceiving them into believing Joe attacked Billy at the depot, when it was actually Kev Barton (Chris Coghill). Billy has since learned the truth but has not told Dawn.

Last week, Caleb and Ruby warned Billy they would only hand over his family's passports if he left on the wedding morning. The day has arrived, but it remains unclear whether Dawn and Billy's plan will succeed.

Fans Predict New Pairing

During Monday's episode, now on ITVX, Dawn feared Kim Tate's (Claire King) homecoming would complicate her escape. Despite guilt over Kim's generosity, Dawn used her father Will's (Dean Andrews) memory to get her step-mum out of the way. Later, Graham found Dawn loading luggage into her car at Home Farm. "I have to go, before this love completely destroys me," she said, with Graham responding: "But this, this is what cowards do." Dawn then struck Graham over the head with a shovel and fled.

Now, fans believe Joe could embark on an affair with Gabby after spotting chemistry. "Thought Gabby and Joe had chemistry in their scenes tonight," one Reddit user posted. Another added: "Maybe they're planning on getting them together after the wedding." A third commented: "When Dawn leaves, Joe and Gabby would be a perfect couple imo. I feel like Gabby would actually challenge Joe more than Dawn ever did... And idk about you, but Gabby definitely fancies Joe."

Fan Reactions

Other viewers echoed the sentiment, with one writing: "I actually did think they had chemistry the other day at the stag do." Another shared: "They would actually be great together," while a sixth said: "Joe and Gabby can totally see this happening, well it looks like it's gonna go this way."

Emmerdale airs weekday nights at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
