Coronation Street spoilers have revealed what happens next to Sarah Platt and Gary Windass amid a mysterious storyline. Gary (played by Mikey North) is currently the prime suspect in the investigation into Theo Silverton's (James Cartwright) murder.
Secrets and Suspicions
The builder has since been acting strangely, particularly with his ex-girlfriend, Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien). The former couple has been seen whispering with each other about the night of Theo's death, with their respective family members noticing a change in their behavior. The secrecy continued this week, with Gary's wife, Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon), even suspecting the pair of having an affair behind her back. Maria asked Sarah's best friend, Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce), whether he had noticed any unusual behaviour, which he denied. He later broached the subject with Sarah herself, who instantly broke down in tears.
This Morning Reveals
Details surrounding the storyline have been revealed on Wednesday's (June 17) This Morning. Soap expert Sharon Marshall spoke about the plot with hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, and showed an exclusive clip from upcoming Corrie scenes. Sharon said: "The other big story of the week, of course, was Sarah and Gary, and everybody, well, Maria, thinking they are having an affair. Are they? Is it all a bit obvious? Is it all a red herring? Is it something to do with a murder?"
A spoiler clip of Maria sharing her suspicions with Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston) was then played. Back in the studio, Sharon revealed that the killer's identity will be unveiled next week, along with a "dinner party from hell". "So you've got Maria, Sarah, Gary, and Kit. Kit's planning to propose to Sarah. Sarah's been accused of having an affair with Gary, and Maria's suspecting everything," Sharon explained. "It's gonna be a series of flashbacks, and we will find out the truth... We're gonna find out who killed Theo, finally, because there's flashbacks. We will know as the audience, but the people on the street actually won't, but we will get answers. But the evening will end with blood splattered across the table, so that's coming up as well. It's all going on!"
Dinner Party from Hell
Corrie's epic murder mystery will be solved in an hour-long episode on Monday (June 22), in which secrets and lies are dished up at the dramatic dinner party. An insider told Digital Spy: "Kit interrupts Sarah's clandestine conversation and spontaneously invites Gary and Maria to the meal. Sarah and Gary squirm, but Maria - who is equally suspicious of her husband's recent behaviour - quickly accepts. Calculating Kit clearly has an agenda in getting the tense group round the table. This has disaster written all over it!"
