Coleen Nolan has said she is ready to walk down the aisle again after going public with her new partner, university lecturer Ryan Brockbank. The Loose Women star, 61, has been dating Brockbank for several months, following her unsuccessful stint on Celebs Go Dating.
Going Instagram official
After her children Shane Nolan and Ciara Fensome teased her about the romance for several weeks on their podcast Nolans Uncensored, she went Instagram official with him earlier this month. Since then, it has been revealed that the pair, who are 20 years apart, have matching tattoos, while Coleen has also had "R," followed by a heart inked onto her.
Over the years, the 61-year-old has defiantly ruled out marrying again after going through two divorces. In the latest episode of the podcast, however, she hinted that she may make a U-turn on her word.
Wedding U-turn
While discussing Ciara's wedding, her daughter said: "She wants to get married now, she's on her third wedding," before asking her directly: "Do you actually want to get married?"
She replied: "No, I always said I would never get married again, but I hadn't met Ryan."
As Ciara reacted in disbelief, she doubled down, adding: "Honestly, I think he's what I've been looking for for probably 50 years." She went on to jokingly reassure her daughter that should they decide to tie the knot, they would not steal the spotlight from her.
Matching tattoos and previous relationships
In a previous episode, Ciara joked that her mum had "lost the plot" upon hearing that she and Ryan had matching tattoos. Coleen laughed off the teasing, replying: "I haven't though, I've just lost my heart," which led to Ciara pretending to gag.
Ryan is the singer's first known public relationship since she split from her ex partner Michael Jones, who she met on Tinder, in 2023. She attempted to find love again in the latest series of Celebs Go Dating, but failed to secure a romance.
Coleen was first married to EastEnders actor Shane Richie, with whom she shares sons Shane and Jake Roche. They divorced in 1999 after nine years together. She later married Ray Fensome, Ciara's father, in 2007, before announcing their separation in 2018.
Friendship with ex-husband
In a statement at the time, she said the decision came after "much hard work and many efforts" to try to make the relationship work. The pair have since remained friends, with Coleen even recently admitting that he had stayed at her house in a separate bedroom.
Discussing their friendship on the Loose Women podcast, she told Kaye Adams: "No, [there are] no romantic feelings. We've been in my house on my own and both gone 'Night' while he's gone into the spare room, I've gone into my room, and when you think for 17 years we shared a room, there's not even a moment of that. Not one moment."
