Andy Burnham appeared at the famous Mirror Party last night, grinning after his conference speech. The Prime Minister, holding a pint of Guinness, was pictured chatting with the Mirror Chicken, a regular fixture at political events.
Ministers sing at conference party
The event saw MPs, advisers and journalists unwind. Chief Secretary to the Treasury Emma Reynolds sang Twist and Shout, while Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander performed Abba's Waterloo.
Labour mayors Tracy Brabin and Bev Craig took to the microphone for Sweet Caroline. The Mirror's Lizzy Buchan and Mikey Smith also showed off their musical talents.
Cabinet stars join in
Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy sang Oasis's Don't Look Back in Anger with the Mirror's Sophie Huskisson and a group of Labour MPs. Housing Secretary Angela Rayner posed for pictures at the party.
Deputy Labour Leader Lucy Powell was also seen smiling at the event, which was held hours after the PM's keynote speech.
The party was organised by The Mirror and iNHouse Communications in partnership with Diageo.
