The Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Awards returned to Claridge's in London on Thursday night, bringing together leading figures from film, fashion, literature, music, sport and the arts to celebrate female trailblazers. The event was held in partnership with The Platinum Card by American Express.

Red Carpet Glamour

Cate Blanchett wore a constellation-print Mary Katrantzou creation, while Mikey Madison opted for a strapless Dior gown. Isla Fisher chose a lace cap-sleeve dress, and Cat Deeley wore a bell-sleeved dress with a chain-link belt.

Guests including Bella Maclean and Alex Hassell, reunited on the red carpet, while Amelia Dimoldenberg caught up with comedian Leo Reich.

Awards Highlights

Hassell presented Maclean with the Breakthrough award, paying tribute to her as the ultimate "silly billy." Maclean gave a moving shout-out to late Rivals author Dame Jilly Cooper, saying: "I want to thank Jilly, for not only giving me a role that helped me launch my career, but also giving me a character that's taught me so much about humanity and made me reflect on how I want to show up in the world."

Emma Freud presented Claudia Winkleman with the Television Icon award, describing her as one of the "best people" and joking about her fringe. Winkleman accepted the accolade with humour, recalling how she "forgot" she had a son while engrossed in Traitors.

Blanchett received the Theatre Actress award for her dual-role performance in the National Theatre's Electra/Persona, presented by Elizabeth Debicki. Madison was named Film Actress of the Year following her Oscar-winning role in Anora.

Amelia Dimoldenberg received the Innovator Award, Sarah Burton the Designer Award, and Sam Taylor-Johnson the Artist of the Year gong.

Sport and Theatre Honours

Dina Asher-Smith received the Sporting Inspiration Award for her record-breaking European Championships run. Indhu Rubasingham and Kate Varah jointly received the Change-Maker Award for their leadership at the National Theatre.

Glenn Close was honoured with the Icon Award by Harper's Bazaar Editor-in-Chief Lydia Slater, and Stephanie Cavalli was named Model of the Year.
