Taylor Swift has secured eight nominations for the 52nd American Music Awards, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for 'The Life of a Showgirl', and Song of the Year for 'The Fate of Ophelia'. The nominations, announced Tuesday by CBS and Dick Clark Productions, place Swift as the most nominated artist this year, extending her record as the winningest artist in AMA history with 40 previous trophies.
Other top nominees include Morgan Wallen, Olivia Dean, Sabrina Carpenter, and Sombr, each with seven nominations. Olivia Dean and Sombr are first-time nominees, competing in categories such as New Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Breakthrough Album of the Year. First-time nominees also include Alex Warren, BigXthaPlug, Katseye, Leon Thomas, PinkPantheress, Raye, Role Model, Sienna Spiro, and Tate McRae. Teyana Taylor receives her first AMA nomination for Best Female R&B Artist.
Notable film-world nominees include the voices of HUNTR/X from 'KPop Demon Hunters'—EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami—nominated for Song of the Year, Best Vocal Performance, and Best Pop Song for 'Golden', which recently won an Oscar for Best Song.
The 52nd AMAs will be hosted by Queen Latifah live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25. The ceremony will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+.
