Abbey Clancy has revealed she "can't stand" verbal bedroom talk, telling husband Peter Crouch he is "not verbal, thankfully". The admission came after a female fan asked the couple to address an amusing dilemma about her partner, who is usually "non-verbal" during intimate moments.
Fan's 'biggest ick' moment
The fan explained that a straightforward appeal for "talk with a bit of spice" to help "set the mood" became the "biggest ick". In his attempt to accommodate her wishes, he uttered the "most weirdly chavvy thing", and it spectacularly misfired.
Abbey commented: "I prefer that; I can't stand verbal", telling her husband that he's "not verbal, thankfully". Pete, chuckling, then proposed that Gaz, the producer of the couple's podcast, The Therapy Crouch, was "verbal 100 per cent".
Pillow talk goes wrong
Gaz acknowledged he was "very verbal" and had previously been instructed to "shut up" during the act. Peter then resumed reading the message and clarified that she'd requested her partner be more vocal in bed.
He read: "Anyway, he says he'll give it a go. Now, I could work with dirty talk; that would've been fine. However, what I got was possibly the most weirdly chavvy thing I've ever heard come out of his mouth, and it's icked me out to high heaven."
Abbey then steered the discussion towards a hilarious story about someone declaring, "That is correct!" in bed, but later enquired about the end of the tale.
Peter read on: "He was trying to come up with something to say. I could see it took him a moment. Then he loudly announced, 'Good this, innit?' like we were sharing a curry. The worst part is I've started waiting for it now.
"I'm braced. I can't relax cos I know something daft is coming. And the second it does, I'm gone. It's over. I'm laughing. How do you tell the man you love that his pillow talk sounds like a bloke reviewing a lamb rogan josh?"
Mute men and baby plans
Abbey acknowledged it's a "difficult thing to do", suggesting "most men are kind of mute anyway". When Peter queried whether she meant in bed, Abbey explained she was referring to "general" behaviour. Peter joked it's because they "can't f*****g get a word in".
This follows Abbey surprising her husband by revealing she'd consider welcoming a fifth child. The mother-of-four to Sophia Ruby, Liberty Rose, Johnny and Jack admitted she'd "love a newborn".
During a different podcast episode, Abbey said: "There's so many older women have babies now, and I'd love a newborn." Peter replied: "Would you really?" Abbey continued: "Sienna Miller's sister's pregnant, she's like 47. Sienna Miller, just had a baby (at the age of 44)." Peter quipped: "Fair play. Are they on second marriages?"
