Stacey Solomon has given fans another look inside her new £2 million home after transforming one of its rooms into a pink wonderland for her daughter Rose's fifth birthday. The Sort Your Life Out presenter, 37, turned the family's vast dining room into an extravagant party set-up for the celebrations.
A pink-themed celebration
The dining room was almost unrecognisable after being decorated in shades of pink, with a long dining table covered in flowers and towering candles. A second pink table was placed in front of the room's double doors to display Rose's birthday cake, while a giant illuminated number five stood alongside pink balloons. Even the white fireplace was covered in an elaborate display of pink blooms. The birthday cake continued the theme, decorated with colourful gems and pink ice cream-shaped cake pops.
Rose shares her birthday with her mum, who turned 37 on Sunday. However, Stacey explained on social media that the family brought the celebrations forward because she had work commitments on their actual birthday. They started with a family trip to Pizza Express on Friday before Rose's party on Saturday.
New home, new beginnings
Stacey and husband Joe Swash, 44, moved into the Essex property last month after selling their £1.3 million Pickle Cottage, where they had lived for five years. The family's new home is a fixer-upper, and Stacey has already shown fans some of its eccentric corners, including a top floor with retro furniture, old fireplaces, an orange bathroom suite and an old-fashioned television. The property also has its own lift, and Stacey's eldest son Zach, 18, has joked the top floor is '100% haunted'.
However, fans should not expect the same access they had to Pickle Cottage. Stacey revealed after moving that she would keep the exterior and exact location of the new property private due to security concerns. 'I'm not going to show the outside of the house this time around,' she told her followers. 'Just for security and privacy reasons… we had some issues at Pickle Cottage in the end and it's safer to just not show the building itself.'
Future property plans
The move is not the end of Stacey's property plans. The presenter has reportedly bought a separate piece of land in Essex for £210,000, though what she intends to do with it remains under wraps. For now, Rose's birthday has provided the new house with its first major makeover.
