Model and nutritionist Rose Ferguson lives outside London in the Cotswolds, but when she visits the capital she heads for a chicken pie at the Hero in Maida Vale and a workout at Nobu Pilates.
Home and first flat
Ferguson has lived just outside Burford in the Cotswolds for 15 years with her husband, two mini sausage dogs and two staffies. Her three daughters have moved out, making her a recent empty nester, which she says is "weird but I quite like it."
Her first London flat was a three-bedroom maisonette on Great Percy Street in Clerkenwell, which she rented from an ad in the Standard while finishing school. She moved in a month later with her boyfriend and his brother, describing the time as great fun despite the damp.
Food and shopping favourites
Ferguson relies on Daylesford and Natoora for food shopping and likes popping into the Corner Shop at 180. For event dressing, she turns to Victoria Beckham on Dover Street.
Her best recent meal was an "incredible chicken pie" at the Hero in Maida Vale, which she highly recommends. She also loves Toklas, praising its crudo as delicious.
Workouts and wellness
For exercise, Ferguson would go to Before The Lights in Fitzrovia every day if she could. She is also keen on Alex Eagle at 180 Health Club and Nobu Pilates, noting it is not an easy class but you feel the benefits after. For sweating it out, she says nowhere beats the Tracy Anderson studio at Surrenne.
Her new book, The Reset, has just been released — a four-week plan designed to help the body recalibrate and thrive. She also runs a functional medicine clinic and the R Health Club platform, and is working on the next Dior Wellness Retreat in Sicily.
London secrets and memories
Ferguson's London secret is running through Soho early in the morning, describing it as magical to see the city getting going. She also mentions Christ Church in Spitalfields, where she married in 2004.
Asked about iconic Londoners, she names David Beckham, pointing to the foreword of her new book for an explanation. Her favourite work of art is anything from Tracey Emin's retrospective at the Tate, which she called incredible.
