Princess Charlotte's School Options as William and Kate Break Family Rule
Princess Charlotte's School Options After Family Rule Broken

As Prince George prepares to head to the all-boys Eton College in September, attention has turned to where his younger sister, Princess Charlotte, might continue her studies after Lambrook School ends in two years.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have long aimed to keep their three children together at co-educational schools, a tradition Kate experienced with her siblings. Both George and Charlotte attended Thomas' School in Battersea before the family moved to Windsor and were joined by Louis at Lambrook.

With that rule now broken, options for Charlotte include several prestigious schools near Windsor.

St Mary's Ascot

St Mary's School in Ascot is a strong possibility, having educated Prince William's cousin, Lady Louise Windsor. It is an independent day and boarding girls' school, a member of the Girls' Schools Association. Fees are £15,000 per term for day boarding (£45,000 annually) and £21,060 per term for full boarding (£63,180 annually). Other royal alumni include Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones and Lady Marina and Lady Amelia Windsor.

St George's School, Ascot

St George's School in Ascot, where Princess Beatrice studied from 2005 to 2010, is another option. Tuition ranges from £9,520 to £15,145 per term. Beatrice praised the school for supporting her through dyslexia. Other alumni include Lady Davina Lewis, Lady Rose Gilman, and Sir Winston Churchill.

Heathfield School

Heathfield School in Ascot charges £9,408 to £9,459 per term for day pupils and £10,548 to £18,258 for boarders. Although no royal has attended since Princess Alexandra, notable alumni include Prince William's godmother Natalia Grosvenor, Serena Armstrong-Jones, Susannah Constantine, and former nanny Tiggy Legge-Bourke.

Marlborough College

Marlborough College, where Kate Middleton studied, charges £39,930 annually. It is a top boarding school with excellent facilities. However, its location in Wiltshire is not within commuting distance of Windsor, which may conflict with the family's desire to stay close. Alumni include Princess Eugenie, Jack Whitehall, and Emerald Fennell.
