Pride Cymru 2026 has officially begun, drawing thousands of participants to Cardiff city centre for what promises to be a vibrant and colourful day of celebration.
Parade Kicks Off Festivities
The annual parade, a highlight for the LGBT+ community and allies across Wales, started at 11am on Westgate Street. Performers, businesses, brands, and individuals united to paint Cardiff in rainbow colours, with spectators lining the streets to cheer them on.
Opening Night at Cardiff Castle
On Friday, June 12, singer Mika kicked off the weekend with a live performance at Cardiff Castle, delivering hits like Lollipop, Grace Kelly, and Love Today. He even ventured into the crowd to dance with fans.
Saturday's Events
Following the parade, attendees can enjoy stalls, vendors, and live performances within Cardiff Castle. The main stage tonight features headliners including Kate Nash (known for Foundations), Louise (from Eternal), and 00s legends Ultrabeat, among others.
This live blog will provide continuous updates on the day's activities and the atmosphere as thousands flood the streets of Cardiff.
