Naomi Osaka Restyles Iconic Wimbledon Outfit for Quarter Final

Naomi Osaka turned heads once again as she walked onto Court 1 for her Wimbledon quarter final against Karolina Muchova. The Japanese number one wore another stunning all-white ensemble, proving she is a proud outfit repeater.

Restyled Look

Osaka sported the same chunky obi belt she wore in her first-round match against Elsa Jacquemot and a tiered lace maxiskirt, likely the same detachable skirt from Day 3. This time, she ditched the Nike bomber jacket for a vest as the sun beat down on SW19.

The four-time Grand Slam champion has become renowned for her fashion-forward outfits, often collaborating with designers. Her first-round outfit was created by Tokyo-based designer Hana Yagi, drawing inspiration from the film Kill Bill and Japanese ceremonial dress.

Uniform at Wimbledon

Days earlier, ahead of her match against Daria Kasatkina, Osaka wore an intricate tiered cloak with embroidery around the lapel. Her outfit was completed with the same detachable tiered tulle skirt, which has become a uniform for her at this year’s Championships.

All her outfits—complete with frills, bows, and embroidery—have adhered to the All England Club’s strict all-white dress code. All England Club chief Sally Bolton said, “We’re very relaxed, so long as it meets the all-white dress code.”

Praise from Peers

Osaka’s outfits have also received high praise from opponents. World number one Aryna Sabalenka told media at the Australian Open that she thought Osaka’s outfits were “really cool.”
