Star-Studded Cast Unveiled
Sadie Sink, known for her role as Max in Stranger Things, will play the telepathic and telekinetic Jean Grey. Kit Connor, famous for Heartstopper, takes on the role of Scott Summers, also known as Cyclops. Christopher Abbott, who has appeared in films like Poor Things and The Wolf Man, will portray Charles Xavier, the founder of the X-Men.
Inde Navarrette, who gained attention for her performance in Obsession, will play Rogue, while Maya Boyd, a Broadway actor, has been cast as Storm. Adam Driver, an Academy Award-nominated actor known for playing Kylo Ren in Star Wars, will take on the role of Nathaniel Milbury, believed to be an alias for the villainous Mr. Sinister.
Fan Reactions and Complaints
Despite the star power, some fans have expressed disappointment, particularly over the choice of Inde Navarrette as Rogue. One fan wrote on X, "Y'all are glazing Inde just because of her performance in Obsession. IMO, she doesn't fit the character of Rogue in the slightest." Another added, "Indeed should've been Mystique. She doesn't give Rogue vibes."
Other fans have questioned the absence of certain characters, with one asking, "No Beast, No Bobby, No Angel, No Logan??" and another wondering, "Who is playing Jubilee? Nightcrawler? Wolverine?" Questions about Magneto and whether Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine also surfaced.
However, many fans appear excited about the casting, with a majority believing Marvel has made strong choices. The X-Men film is scheduled for release exclusively in theaters on May 5, 2028.
