Love Island's Tom Clare and Molly Smith Say 'Bittersweet Goodbye' to First Home Ahead of Wedding
Love Island Stars Tom and Molly Leave First Home Before Wedding

Love Island All Stars winners Tom Clare and Molly Smith have said a 'bittersweet goodbye' to their first home just two months before their wedding. The couple, who won the 2024 series of the ITV show, are set to tie the knot on Saturday, August 22, after Tom proposed during a holiday in Dubai last September.

A New Chapter for the Couple

Though they only received the keys to their first home together two years ago and recently completed renovations, the pair have decided to start married life in a new location. Tom shared a photo of their home illuminated at night from the garden on his Instagram stories, writing: 'A bitter sweet feeling saying bye to our first home! But something new is coming...'

Their move comes shortly after they invested in a brand new kitchen, a home gym, a walk-in wardrobe for Molly, and a large television for movie and sports nights.

Wedding Plans in Spain

Speaking to the Mirror last month, Molly revealed that their summer wedding will take place in Spain. 'We're really excited - I think we got a different vibe when we went to the Spain one [venue]. We both instantly were like, 'This is definitely it',' she said. While keeping further details under wraps, Molly added that the ceremony will be 'quite traditional' but without certain traditions like throwing the bouquet.

The couple agree on most wedding details, sharing similar tastes, though some decisions have proven challenging, such as whether to include flowers. Tom joked: 'I want flowers. I just cannot fathom how much they cost. I'll need another job just to pay for them!'

No Love Island Nods on the Big Day

Despite meeting on Love Island, the couple will not incorporate elements from the show into their wedding. Tom teased: 'I think there's going to be a heart rate challenge - and when we do the vows Molly has to do a recoupling speech.' He added: 'Jokes aside, we both want it to be the best day of our lives.'

Future Plans and Podcast Takeover

Looking ahead, Tom shared their next steps: 'We're moving house, so we want to do that, get married and maybe have a few more couple holidays.' The couple will also take over their friends Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo's wedding podcast, Nearlyweds, offering listeners an inside look at their wedding planning chaos. Tom said: 'It's raw and real. There's the odd disagreement, but also amazing moments. Hopefully, we'll help other couples getting married, and it's helping us, too.'

Tom and Molly are set to become the sixth Love Island couple to marry after meeting on the reality dating show.
