In Bordeaux, France, dancers attempted to break the world record for the highest number of participants in a French cancan performance, gathered above the Mirror d'Eau reflecting pool. In London, men were seen leaving HMP Brixton on early release; about 700 prisoners serving sentences up to 19 months are set to be released from jails in England and Wales in the first wave of the government's expanded early release scheme.
