Woman Cuts Open Shein Bag Thinking Spider Inside, Finds String
Shein Bag Spider Scare Turns Out to Be String

A woman named Brittany Jade was left baffled after opening a new bag she ordered from budget fashion brand Shein, convinced there was something hiding inside the lining. She took to TikTok to share the moment, which quickly went viral.

Spider Scare Turns Out to Be String

In the video, Brittany showed a brown tote bag with the text 'the work bag' printed on it. As she opened it, she focused the camera on a dark spot in the beige lining, making it look like a spider was lurking inside. To investigate, she used a pair of scissors to cut open the lining. As the hole grew larger, she revealed that the dark spot was not a spider but a small bunch of black string.

"Turns out it's just string," she said in the video, continuing to film the string she had mistaken for a creepy crawly.

Woman Still Plans to Use the Bag

Despite cutting the lining, Brittany confirmed she still intends to wear the bag. In the caption, she wrote: "Guys the inside of the bag can be removed and it can still be used as a bag don’t worry ur selves."

A spokesperson for Shein commented: "We are sorry to hear about this customer’s experience and have contacted her directly. The issue she encountered does not reflect the standards we expect from our quality control process, and we will be glad to offer her a replacement bag as a gesture of goodwill."
