Jasmine Harman, star of A Place in the Sun, has announced that her solo show Renovation in the Sun has been renewed for a second series on Channel 4. The 15-episode first series, which aired last year, was a hit with audiences, following the 50-year-old presenter and her family as they transformed a dilapidated villa in Spain.
Second Series Commissioned
Channel 4 has confirmed the commission, with production company Double FTV developing the new season. Jasmine will continue to immerse herself in Spanish culture, explore the local area, and restore her family home.
Jasmine expressed her excitement about the renewal, hinting at upcoming challenges. She said: "We're so thrilled that Jasmine Harman's Renovation in the Sun has been commissioned for a second series. Filming the first series was such an experience, and we were truly humbled by the support from viewers. It was wonderful to share both the reality and excitement of starting a new life in Spain. We've still got plenty more renovation challenges ahead of us, so I can't wait to continue the journey and start filming again."
More Renovation Projects
The new series will not only focus on Jasmine's property but also track three other renovation projects. These belong to British expatriates pursuing their dream Mediterranean lifestyle, with Jasmine monitoring their progress. She will provide expertise, encouragement, and practical assistance as the work unfolds.
