Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo Land Second Disney+ Series in £500k Deal

Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo have reportedly secured a second series of their Disney+ show Raising Chelsea in a deal worth £500,000, according to a source close to the production. The former Made In Chelsea stars will continue to document their lives, now focusing on raising their seven-month-old son Ziggy.

Second Series Details

The first three-part series followed Jamie, 37, and Sophie, 31, as they prepared for Ziggy's birth in December 2025. The upcoming series will centre on their life as parents, with producers hoping to expand beyond three episodes by filming more content. A source told The Sun that Disney executives were "delighted" with audience response, praising the couple for being "authentic and vulnerable" and saying they "secured the hearts of Disney subscribers." The insider added: "The deal's done. And filming is set to start soon."

Authenticity and Filming Approach

Jamie emphasised the importance of authenticity in an earlier interview with the BBC: "If there are three cameras and a set-up, it feels forced. We wanted to capture everything and I wanted to make sure it was really real so you see everything. Even when things happened that were intense we kept it in because we made a deal. There is nothing off limits - I don’t like the idea of a filtered version of ourselves, it’s not true, authentic or real." Sophie noted that the single-camera setup made the process feel "natural," and she occasionally forgot they were filming. The show even included footage from the delivery room, filmed by the anaesthesiologist on Sophie's phone. She initially hesitated but decided it was part of the story.

Jamie's Dragon's Den Role

Beyond Raising Chelsea, Jamie has reportedly landed a guest investor role on BBC's Dragon's Den for its 23rd series, joining regulars like Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones. He follows other celebrity guest judges such as Joe Wicks and Gary Neville.

Business Ventures

Jamie co-founded vegan confectionary brand Candy Kittens in 2012, which achieved a £15 million turnover in 2024 and was followed by the £36 million acquisition of healthy snack bar Graze. The Mirror contacted Jamie and Sophie's representatives for comment on the reported deals.
