Ashley Roberts Confronted David Haye Over 'Outrageous' I'm A Celebrity Behaviour

Ashley Roberts has revealed she confronted David Haye over his behaviour during the filming of I'm A Celebrity... South Africa, but the scenes were not aired. The Pussycat Dolls star appeared on ITV's This Morning and told hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard that she challenged the former boxer after being shocked by his language.

Roberts, who originally appeared on the show with Haye in 2012, said: 'Now there are points where I did confront him because I thought some of his language was quite shocking. But I don't know if that's going to make the edit or not. You know, we all tried to plant seeds in different ways of thinking or trying to understand where he was coming from. But it was shocking.'

The comments come after Haye faced backlash for sexist remarks about his girlfriend, Sian, and for calling co-star Adam Thomas 'useless' for refusing to take part in a Bushtucker Trial due to a medical condition. Haye had said: 'Who gives a s**t if he doesn't feel well. He's a grown-a*s man. I don't like guys who are a bit useless. I hate them, useless guys.'

Speaking on Heart Radio Breakfast, Roberts said: 'He's not coming across well, is he? His language is outrageous, I'll tell you that much. I don't remember that side of him when we were together 14 years ago.'

Thomas later said on social media that Haye 'broke him' and 'pushed him to his limits', though he added that the boxer has since apologised. Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly described the scenes as 'not a nice watch' and 'not comfortable to watch'.
