Prince George began his first day at Eton on September 8, arriving at the prestigious school with the Prince and Princess of Wales. The royal teen will complete five years of education at the institution, which costs around £65,000 a year, after previously attending Lambrook School with his siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Full-Time Boarding at Eton
While he did part-time boarding at Lambrook, the 13-year-old will live at Eton full-time during the school term. He will reside in one of the 25 boarding houses, all under the residential care of a house master. Each house holds around 55 boys.
However, there is one special house that George is unlikely to be granted access to for a particular reason. The unique house, called "College," is dedicated to "the King's scholars," who are top academic students that have sat an extra test to be granted this privilege.
Manor House and Mentorship
The prince, who is second-in-line to the throne, is expected to follow in the footsteps of his father and uncle, Prince Harry, at Eton by living in Manor House. His new home will feature a single bed, desk, and shelves.
As well as a house master and dame, George will also have a "boys maid" who will tidy his room each morning. In terms of academics, George will study a range of subjects, including English, maths, science, geography, and history.
Additionally, Latin, divinity, classical Greek, drama, art, PE, music, design, and modern languages — including French, German, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, and Mandarin — are also on the curriculum.
The royal teen will have a lot to adjust to as he adapts to his new life. However, he will also be assigned an "uncle" who will essentially be a mentor and help him adjust to life at Eton.
