The incident has sent shockwaves through the school community, known for its strict values and high academic standards. Parents and alumni have been left questioning the safeguarding protocols in place at the Uniting Church-affiliated school.

Mr. Gulson, who had taught geography and was a housemaster, was a well-known figure at the school for many years. The discovery of his activities on the platform, which is primarily used for casual encounters, has raised serious concerns about conduct and propriety.

School Leadership Takes Immediate Action

In a communication to parents, Headmaster Scott James stated the school was made aware of allegations regarding the teacher's 'conduct outside of the school'. An immediate investigation was launched, leading to the educator's dismissal for breaching the school's staff code of conduct.

'The school took immediate action and the staff member is no longer employed at the school,' Mr. James wrote. He emphasised the school's unwavering commitment to child safety and its zero-tolerance policy towards any behaviour that falls short of its expected standards.

The school has reportedly notified the NSW Teacher Registration Board and other relevant authorities of the incident, underscoring the gravity of the situation.
