Boy, 15, dies after falling ill on school bus in Fife

A 15-year-old boy has died after becoming unwell on a school bus in Fife. Emergency services were called to the A92 Halbeath roundabout in Dunfermline at around 1.45pm on Monday, November 24, but the teenager could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have launched an investigation into the death, which is being treated as unexplained. A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed that enquiries are ongoing.

Stephen Ross, headteacher at Beath High School, expressed the school's devastation and offered condolences to the family. He said: 'We are all devastated by this news and our thoughts are very much with the family and loved ones at this sensitive and difficult time.'

Mr Ross added that support is being provided to staff and students, with arrangements in place across the school community to offer space, time, and help to those who need it.
