Teenager Dies After Being Hit by Train in Carmarthenshire

A 17-year-old boy has died after being struck by a train near Llanelli station in Carmarthenshire. British Transport Police were called to the scene at approximately 5pm on Friday evening following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

The teenager has been identified as Joshua Dyer, from the Llanelli area. Paramedics also attended, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

Joshua's family paid tribute to him, describing him as a 'wonderful and considerate son, grandson and nephew' who will be deeply missed. They said: 'We will never know what went through Joshua's mind, as he made the choices he did, but we do know the world is missing a beautiful and unique mind. Joshua is in no more pain now and is at rest.'
